Robert Hurray from Catterick received a fully funded gas central heating system to replace his old inefficient system.
Having been off work due to a heart attack and losing his wife in an accident, the 55 year-old qualified under the council’s eligibility criteria for the scheme.
After seeing an advert on Facebook, Robert thought he could qualify.
“They said I could receive funding. I’ve never claimed anything in my life and I don’t receive any benefits. I just had some money left from my wife, but this is just going down and down.”
Robert’s central heating install was fully funded from the scheme managed by YES Energy Solutions who use their industry accredited contractors to complete the work.
“The installers were great, I’ve worked alongside lads like that for years and they were smashing. I couldn’t fault any part of it.”
Robert’s old boiler and radiators were replaced with an A-rated system and he is already feeling the benefits.
