Following the success of Insulate Hampshire (a scheme managed in partnership with Hampshire County Council and 11 District Councils), YES Energy Solutions helped a series of eligible householders access Energy Company Obligation (ECO) funding for critical energy saving home improvements.
Scheme In Detail
The team helped coordinate and deliver the following projects across the county:
Insulate Hampshire Plus
Insulate Hampshire Plus was a new project designed to help private householders who have been identified as living in Fuel Poverty, to access home efficiency services.
The project ran within three Hampshire localities, helping homeowners and private renting tenants attain ECO funding for home insulation, heating and double glazing.
Select householders from the Rushmoor, Havant and Gosport areas got the chance to access free or discounted energy saving home improvements.
Warm Up Winnall
Warm Up Winnall aimed to increase awareness of ECO funding and Green Deal finance in the Winnall area of Winchester. YES Energy Solutions helped promote the scheme through various social networks as well as providing advisory support to local residents on all aspects of the Green Deal and ECO process.
Green Deal Winchester
Members of YES Energy Solutions worked alongside WinAcc (Winchester Action on Climate Change) to deliver the district’s new domestic energy efficiency scheme, Green Deal Winchester.
Winchester City Council secured £135,000 of funding from the Department of Energy and Climate Change (DECC) to launch the programme and improve the level of uptake of ECO funded installations from across the area.
A pop up shop was opened in Winchester city centre, within the Brooks Shopping Precinct, to offer advice and support to local residents considering energy saving home improvements. Residents that qualified for ECO funding were referred to YES Energy Solutions to coordinate free property assessments.
Loft Clear & Install
400 householders across Hampshire were given the opportunity to make their homes warmer and cheaper to heat with free loft insulation and a complementary loft clearance service.
The funding for this was provided through a successful DECC bid obtained by Hampshire County Council to help vulnerable householders keep warm and make their homes more energy efficient.
Householders were prioritised on a first come first served basis and installations were then coordinated throughout the year.
