Derby City Council is giving residents in the Normanton area the opportunity to get their hands on a bespoke energy saving plan for your home.
A limited number of free surveys are available for eligible residents to see how they could improve the warmth of their homes.
The council is asking residents to register interest in a free survey to see if they could benefit from potential funding in a trial that could lead to an exciting new local initiative.
The survey will tell you the cost of the improvements and if there’s any funding you could receive towards them.
Homeowners and privately renting tenants can benefit from the scheme, and we’ll talk to your landlord about the offer.
You can sign up for the survey for free and there’s no obligation, it’s then up to you or your landlord if you want to progress with any of the recommendations.
This is a fantastic opportunity to see how your home could be improved.
You will receive a new up-to-date Energy Performance Certificate (EPC) for your home with recommendations on how best to improve the warmth of your property along with detailed advice to lower your bills.
We’ll be supporting properties in the Normanton area throughout the process.
Someone in your household receives a means tested benefit, or your household income is below £31,000.
Your home is suitable to receive energy efficiency improvements such as insulation.
Your home also needs to be classed as inefficient with an Energy Performance Certificate (EPC) of band E, F or G. Our team can check this for you if you’re unsure.
