Scheme in detail

We have partnered with gas distribution operator Cadent to help their customers save money on their energy bill.

If you live in Cadent's coverage area, you could join over 2,000 people who have already saved an average of £500 on their annual energy bills.

We are also helping customers apply for gas connection funding if they meet the eligibility criteria.

Energy advice

Every month our free and confidential service helps around 500 householders save more than £500 a year on their energy costs. We want you to join them.

People across the UK have been facing cost of living pressures, including high energy costs, but warming your home does not have to cost you the earth.

That’s why Cadent, the gas operator for your local area, has teamed up with community interest company, YES Energy Solutions.

Our energy advice experts provide a range of tools to help you lower your energy bills, all free of charge.

You can choose the amount and type of support you want, from:

• one-to-one personalised support on ways you can lower your energy bills plus a free energy saving pack with gadgets (no eligibility requirements)
• funding to improve your home via a new gas connection, insulation, or low carbon heating (subject to eligibility criteria)
• carbon monoxide safety advice and joining Cadent’s Priority Services Register for ongoing support (subject to eligibility criteria)

Gas connection funding

YES is helping to qualify residents in the Cadent catchment area for a voucher that will either fully cover or significantly lower the cost of gas connection.

Once qualified, YES will arrange a survey date for Cadent to visit the property for survey.

Suitable properties will then be given an install date that works for them, and their property will be connected to the mains gas line.
