YES win at National Energy Efficiency Awards for the third time

Here at YES, morale is high as we celebrate our latest win.

As a small Community Interest Company from Elland, we are incredibly proud to have been crowned winner of Project Management Company of the Year at the prestigious National Energy Efficiency Awards.

This is the third consecutive year we have won the award, as a result of our 32 fuel poverty alleviation schemes.

Working alongside local authorities in Yorkshire and Lincolnshire, we have helped over 3,000 fuel poor householders reduce their lifetime bills by £46 million in the past year.

The National Energy Efficiency Awards

The awards were launched in July 2015 following the changes in Government Energy Efficiency policy.

They were set up to help motivate the energy efficiency sector in their delivery of the Green Deal Finance Initiative and Energy Company Obligation Scheme.

Subsequently, these schemes have helped homeowners reduce their energy bills, tackle fuel poverty and reduce carbon emissions.

With the National Energy Efficiency Awards, the public can learn about the meaningful work underway, and a standard is set within the industry to encourage best practice.

"Brimming with pride"

The YES team were presented with the award by comedian and actor Hugh Dennis at the Hilton Metrople Birmingham.

CEO Duncan McCombie explained:

“Winning this award for the third time in a row highlights the fantastic work our teams do to reduce fuel poverty across the country.

“The whole company is brimming with pride, and it’s an honour to celebrate with fellow businesses in the energy efficiency industry.

“We realise that there are still millions of people struggling with their energy bills, and we’re committed to helping vulnerable communities as best we can during the cost of living crisis.”
