YES shortlisted for SIX categories at National Energy Efficiency Awards Aug 30, 2024

Community interest company YES Energy Solutions and its key stakeholders have been shortlisted for six categories at the prestigious National Energy Efficiency Awards, a yearly event to recognise and celebrate the achievements of industry professionals and organisations across Great Britain.

Operations Director Katie Baker is in the running for the profound impact she has had on the business’ progression.

• National Business Development Manager/Director of the Year

And CEO Duncan McCombie is shortlisted for his consistent campaigning and advocacy in the industry, and for being a thought leader when it comes to alleviating fuel poverty.

• National Energy Efficiency Champion of the Year

Meanwhile, YES Energy Solutions is up for four categories for its impact in several energy efficiency schemes, supporting customers to reduce their energy use and benefit from lower energy bills.

• National Fuel Poverty & Vulnerable Customer Support of the Year
• National Project Management Company of the Year
• National Funding Provider of the Year
• National Multi-Measure Project of the Year (in collaboration with North Yorkshire Council, Align Property Partners and West Yorkshire Gas Solutions)

Resounding success

The news follows an incredibly successful financial year.

From April 2023 to March 2024, YES Energy Solutions supported 11,083 householders to save £4.49 million on their annual bills, through the installation of 11,682 energy efficiency measures and personalised energy guidance via YES’ Advice Centre.

YES shows no sign of slowing down, with CEO Duncan McCombie saying:

“The nomination will inspire us to try harder, engage wider, collaborate more, influence more enthusiastically, go that extra step.

“Maybe we could have done more, but I am certain we should achieve more this year than ever before. We will continue making a difference and reflecting always helps to provide context. Thank you Energy Efficiency Association CIC for making me think.
