Multi award winning company Halifax based YES Energy Solutions CIC are moving to a bigger and brighter office space in the heart of West Vale.
Local
community interest company YES Energy Solutions are ‘bursting at the seams’ at
their current office as a result of significant growth in the past few years. To meet the needs of new multi-million-pound
contracts with local authorities and energy providers across the country, YES
have taken on another 45 people over the past year. But their growth helps the communities they
support. In three months they used
£30,000 of their profits to deliver a Warmer Homes fund, helping householders with
immediate relief from energy debt and solving cold homes across the
region. Being awarded ‘Best Business
Growth’ form Sheffield Hallam business school is another indication YES need a room
to grow further.
The
YES team have outgrown their current space.
After capturing the staff wish list and needs for an office – the team
are proud to announce their new home on two floors of Victoria Mills in West
Vale, Elland.
YES’
CEO Duncan McCombie has known that this day would be coming for some time–
“YES
has grown so much in the past two years – in staffing, in workload and most
importantly in the number of householders we’re reaching and helping save money
on their energy bills.
It
was crucial to us to ensure our new office was still local (less than a mile
down the road from our current office,) easily accessible on public transport,
and with the beautiful old mill of the Andy Thornton’s building we have found
the perfect home for YES for the future – and potential room for even more
growth.”
The
YES office will be in Victoria Mills, Stainland Road, Elland from mid-August.
The
new office encompasses the company’s green values with energy efficient room
temperature control using new low carbon air source heat pumps similar to the
ones they help to install in homes across the country.
The
company has seen growth across all the teams – installing energy efficiency
projects; supporting installers access funding for home energy improvements and
all supported by a wrap around advice service to help householders better
manage their energy needs, saving over 400 customers each month save on average
£400 on their energy.
YES
knows there is more they can do and their growth will allow them to help more
people and also put more of their profits back into the communities they serve.
