YES Energy Solutions wins Energy Efficiency Award Mar 23, 2018
We did it!
Last night, YES Energy Solutions wowed the judges at theWest Midlands Energy Efficiency Awards - winning ‘Large Scale Project of the Year’ for our insulation scheme with Redditch Borough Council and SFP Contracts.
YES Energy Solutions was appointed as project manager of the Redditch External Wall Insulation Scheme in 2016. The two year programme has helped reduce fuel poverty across Redditch by improving the look and feel of a cluster of solid brick properties owned by the Council.
SFP Contracts were our appointed installers, who to date have insulated over 300 homes. We were able to bring in ECO funding to reduce project costs and also help a number of private homeowners take advantage and invest in insulation for their homes.
The West Midlands Efficiency Awards 2018 were held inCoventry at the Double Tree Hilton.
There was some tough competition in this category with the likes of Birmingham City Council in the running for a similar scheme. But the results are in and we are delighted to be crowned winner of the 2018 RegionalLarge Scale Project of the Year (>250k).
The judges considered the impact the project has had on the local community and how local residents had responded to the scheme, as well as the level of expertise shown by the project management and delivery team.
After accepting the award, Katie Baker, Head of Operations at YES Energy Solutions said:
“It’s always a great feeling each time YES Energy Solutions are recognised for the hard work we put in to try and make a difference for local communities.
"The Redditch EWI scheme is a great example of how a proactive partnership has transformed a whole area, helping residents keep warm for less whist improving their health and wellbeing.
"The work carried out has helped improve lives and reduced the Council’s carbon footprint. Winning an award on top of that is just the icing on the cake!”
YES Energy Solutions is dedicated to alleviating fuel poverty and reducing the effects of global warming through energy efficiency interventions. We are passionate about delivering projects, such as the Redditch External Wall Insulation Scheme, to help residents improve the energy efficiency of their homes and save money on their fuel bills.
