UK households urged to claim discount for this winter's energy bills Nov 18, 2022

As of April 2022, the Government introduced the Energy Bills Support Scheme

Designed to help UK households with their energy bills, all households are automatically entitled to the £400 discount as a buffer against the rising energy costs.

Over 27m households across Great Britain received money off their energy bills last month as £1.8bn was paid out through the Energy Bills Support Scheme.

We are reminding households on pre-payment meters to redeem your vouchers. These are sent by SMS text, email or post, and can be redeemed at your usual top-up point.
