Energy bills are set reach an all-time low in the upcoming months, and it’s no surprise why, with the warmer summer months now in full swing.
But Wales and West Utilities (WWU) is urging its customers to
think Green this Summer, so they can save money this Winter.
YES Energy Solutions is working with the utilities company
to provide its customers with free, personalised energy advice.
Previously working with the likes of Cadent, Northern
Powergrid, and more, the highly successful advice centre is now reaching out to
householders in the Southwest of England.
The support is offered via the YES Greener Homes Advice
Line, a fully bespoke service where the advisor takes into account the
individual’s circumstances, alongside technical aspects of their property, and
provides them with the best possible support plan going forward.
Customers of the Greener Homes Advice Line can also be
cross-referred to applicable schemes in their area, potentially receiving
funding for energy efficiency installations in their homes.
Advice Manager Laura Winning said: “The average customer
saves around £500 on their annual energy bill. As a community interest company,
we’re so proud that we are able to offer this across the nation.
“I, for one, am glad of a break from high prices as the sun
shines outside and we use less heating. But the prices haven’t dropped – people
are just using their heating less.
“By prepping your home in time for Winter, it won’t be such
a drastic weight on the wallet when the time comes again to turn on the
heating. And we all know what the weather can be like in this country – it may
be sooner than you think.
“Worst case scenario, you receive some free goodies and
expert advice. Best case scenario, you knock a huge chunk off your energy bills
and get free energy efficiency measures worth thousands.”
