Relief for energy debts available for households through a Warmer Homes Fund and Free Energy Advice Feb 14, 2024

With the ongoing energy crisis and the current cost of living, local energy experts and community interest company YES Energy Solutions has pledged over £250,000 of profits to a dedicated Warmer Homes Fund – provided to give immediate relief for mounting energy debts and additional funding for home improvements.

YES is helping residents with free advice calls and funds to make homes warmer and greener whilst combatting fuel debt in the community. The YES Warmer Homes Fund can assist with up to £250 to help combat fuel debt for eligible households up until 31 March.

Payments depend on how the household pays for energy and include payments direct to energy suppliers, fuel vouchers to help people using prepayment meters, and contributions towards the costs of oil and bottled gas.

The team is also identifying people who can access available funding for home improvements such as boiler replacements, insulation and low carbon heating, using the new YES Warmer Homes Fund alongside existing grants to fully cover the costs of the home energy upgrades in most circumstances.

YES start with a free Home Advice Call from their friendly local team to identify how best they can help. All households can receive a call (homeowners, private renters, and social housing) with everyone in the community able to receive tailored advice on keeping their homes cosy and comfortable.

We have over a quarter of a million pounds available to provide immediate help to those in our communities who may be in energy debt, need a new boiler and cannot afford it, or are struggling to top up their prepayment meters.
