YES Energy Solutions have been shortlisted for the ‘Team of the Year’ category at the 2018 Women in Housing awards.

Our funding & compliance team, made up of 18 Yorkshire lasses and a couple of lovely lads, are at the forefront of our nomination.

The award ceremony will take place later this year at theEmirates Old Trafford in Manchester, where YES Energy Solutions face competition from the likes of Futures Housing Group and Wellingborough Homes, each also nominated for the fantastic work they have achieved.

Our team have been recognised for their dedication in ensuring installations are delivered effectively to help the most vulnerable in our society. The girls work diligently for YES Energy Solutions, a CommunityInterest Company, who are collectively focused on reducing fuel poverty and climate change.

This year, the team set themselves a target to overachieve the best month in over a decade of similar delivery activity. When asked why, the answer was immediate and in unison, “because we want to do more to help our customers”.

In an industry dominated by males, the team show determination by working extra hours to make a real and sustainable difference to the lives of people across Great Britain, while also reducing the causes of climate change.

Megan Hornsby, our ECO Manager, said of the shortlisting:

“The key is teamwork. Each member of the funding and compliance team shows dedication and motivation every day, and are always happy to go the extra mile.

“It’s great for our team to be recognised, whilst highlighting the serious nature of fuel poverty which finds vulnerable residents in our society struggling to meet costs for basic necessities like heating their homes.”

YES Energy Solutions is dedicated to alleviating fuel poverty within our society. Our team works to ensure that eligible residents experience a smooth process in accessing energy saving measures for their home, reducing energy costs and closing the gap in fuel poverty statistics in our society.
