As a community interest company, fundraising is a crucial part of the culture at YES

October saw two key events at YES, where almost £240 was raised for local charities Mind in Bradford and Overgate Hospice.

World Mental Health Day - Tuesday 10 October 2023

Our committed team swapped out our signature YES green for a bold blue, to show solidarity for Mind in Bradford and the dedication they have towards making mental health care accessible for local residents who need a helping hand.

Staff were provided with various resources for themselves and their loved ones to access to support their mental health, and took part in a variety of puzzles such as crosswords and word searches, all aimed at improving mental health education at YES.

£112 was raised for Mind in Bradford in total, making up a small part of the huge effort to improve mental health in parts of West Yorkshire.

Haunting Halloween fundraiser - Tuesday 31 October 2023

To show support for local charity Overgate Hospice, YES decided to utilise Halloween by fundraising for the charity, with a range of tricks and treats.

The charity work hard to give Calderdale residents and their families the best experience possible throughout the course of life-altering illnesses.

This included a Halloween buffet, a staff dress up, a trick or treat raffle and competitions.

A total of £126 was raised for Overgate Hospice.
