Yorkshire warm homes fund shortlisted at the Regional Energy Efficiency Awards
The North Yorkshire
Warm Homes Fund has been shortlisted at the Yorkshire and Humberside Regional Energy
Efficiency Awards in the Large Scale Project category.
YES Energy Solutions managed the scheme on behalf of North
Yorkshire County Council, Ryedale District Council, Hambleton District Council
and Scarborough Borough Council.
The £2.5m scheme has been shortlisted for its contribution
to reducing fuel poverty in the area by helping over 100 vulnerable residents
reap the benefits of gas powered central heating.
After initial success, the project has been extended into a
second phase to provide over 200 central heating systems and includes Richmondshire
District Council in the consortium.
The first in-person awards of its kind after lockdown will
take place on 25 June in Huddersfield.
The Yorkshire and Humberside Energy Efficiency Awards acknowledge
organisations and projects for their part in improving household energy
efficiency in the county.
