YES Energy Solutions continues its award winning streak becoming ‘Green Champion of the Year’ at the 2017 Halifax Business Awards.

The annual event, managed by one of West Yorkshire's leading news publication - the Halifax Courier, celebrates the best in local business. A multitude of companies, spanning a diverse range of industry sectors, came together to celebrate their latest achievements.

Representatives from YES Energy Solutions attended the lavish black tie ceremony which was held at the Venue in Barkisland on Friday 1st December.

YES Energy Solutions was one of 11 victors to take home a trophy, winning ‘Green Champion of the Year’ for commitment to sustainability and action on climate change.

Duncan McCombie, CEO of YES Energy Solutions was delighted with the company’s latest accolade. He explained:

“It’s great to be recognised at a local level for the work we do, even when many of the projects we manage are not local to Calderdale or West Yorkshire. We are a growing West Yorkshire firm, built on the talents and skills of local people and although we work nationally, we are committed to boosting the local economy and delivering a positive impact here in Halifax from our successes.

"Our energy saving activities have helped thousands of people reduce their energy bills and rise out of fuel poverty. And as our reputation grows we are able to capitalise on new opportunities which allows us to create jobs in the process. In fact during the last three months we’ve recruited five new members of staff and we are looking to add more resources in the New Year.

"Winning this award is a fantastic achievement and I’m proud of the team and their commitment to vulnerable people and helping reduce CO2 at a local and national level.”

YES Energy Solutions has won three industry awards in 2017. In September we were crowed Funding Provider of the Year at the National Energy Efficiency & Healthy Homes Awards. Prior to that our partnership scheme with North Lincolnshire Council won ‘Best Housing & Regeneration Initiative’ at the annual APSE Service Awards.
