Government announce Phase B of Local Authority Delivery

The Government have announced an additional phase of the Local Authority Delivery (LAD) section of the new Green Homes Grant.

Phase 1B’s application window has been extended to six weeks with the scope of schemes extended to include energy efficiency improvements for properties with EPC ratings of D.

All work undertaken using the fund must be completed by the 30th of September 2021.

The funding will be available to extend current schemes that benefitted from Phase A of the scheme.

Bids may only come from Local Authorities in England and where proposals cross LA boundaries a consortium bid should be submitted.

Funding must be targeted at low-income households likely to be in fuel poverty, this includes household incomes below the £30,000 threshold.

When making an application, LAs will be asked for details of their contractors, procurement status and Trustmark/Microgeneration Certification Scheme (MCS) certification status.

As with the first phase, LAD cannot be blended with other government schemes such as ECO.
