GDHIF Phase 3 Mar 04, 2015

The third phase of the Government’s Green Deal Home Improvement Fund (GDHIF) will open on Monday 16th march at 12pm. 

Hundreds of homeowners will be able to claim money back for investing in home efficiency upgrades such as external solid wall insulation.

£70m has been allocated to phase three where householders can claim back up to £5,600 for their installations:

• up to £3,750 for installing solid wall insulation
  
• up to £1,250 for installing two measures from an approved list
  
• up to £100 refunded for a Green Deal Assessment
  
• up to £500 more if applying within 12 months of buying a home

The GDHIF scheme works on a first come first served basis. The last release of funds for solid wall insulation was fully allocated within just 48 hours and the Government are expecting phase three to follow suite.

So if you want to take part…you’ll have to be quick!

Householders looking to benefit from GDHIF will need the following:

• A Green Deal Advice Report (GDAR) or Energy Performance Certificate (EPC) that is less than two years old;
  
• A quote from a GDHIF registered installer for the work that is recommend on the GDAR or EPC
  
• Proof of property ownership
