With winter fast approaching we are urging residents to ensure their homes are properly insulated and heated by fully functioning energy efficient boilers.

Heating bills are more expensive than ever and the energy price cap is on the rise, so it’s important to make sure your home is kept warm at the lowest possible cost whilst also cutting down your carbon emissions.

YES can help qualifying residents access ECO funding and therefore provide fully funded heating measures through qualified installers.

The type of heating measures available through the Governments Energy Company Obligations (ECO) scheme include:

• Loft insulation
• Room in roof insulation
• Cavity wall insulation
• External wall insulation
• Underfloor insulation
• Gas or oil boiler replacements
• First time central heating

In order to access these measures you must first meet qualifying criteria which is divided into two routes.

1. In receipt of certain benefits (i.e. Pension Guarantee Credit, War Pensions Mobility Supplement or Child Benefit below certain income thresholds)

Or

2. Meet the eligibility criteria specified in a 'Statement of Intent' published by the relevant Local Authority. You are likely to qualify through this route if you have a low income and are elderly, have young children or have a health condition made worse by the cold.
