Robin Salmons - HUG2

“I am a retired Police Officer, I live alone in a three-bedroom end-terrace house, I do have a son, but he doesn’t live here. I had no problems with my house, but I’ve lived here for eight years and there are some things that I would like to improve and with the current economic climate we live in solar panels were something I was interested in, but I didn’t want to get them installed an pay all of that money if I wasn’t going to see the benefit from it.”

“I first heard about YES energy solutions, when I received a flyer in the post from them alongside a letter from the council, my neighbour received the same letter, but she believed that it was a scam. So, I decided to call the council. I asked the council if they were working with YES and if they was a legit company, they assured me that they were. And from there, I decided to get in touch with YES!

“The application process with YES was very smooth, I filled out an application form, we had some calls with YES which explained what the process was and what would happen. I then received some paperwork that me and my son signed, and the process began. We then received a visit from a surveyor where we discussed where the scaffolding would be places and how long the process may take. The scaffolding was put up, the solar panels were installed and then we were instructed how to use them. The whole process was so smooth and took about 2 and a half months from me receiving the letter to the installation.

“Like I said earlier, solar panels are something I was looking into initially, so when I found out I could get them for free it was an easy decision to make. YES, conducted themselves so professionally, I was a little sceptical at first because sometimes when you get something for free its not really what they say it will be. But with YES, they provided the service that I would expect if I was paying! Overall, the whole process was so smooth, quick and everyone was so polite and cheerful. Let’s say if one was really bad and 10 is amazing, I would say 10!

“My advice to people in the similar situations is go for it! Ask the questions, alley your concerns, ring the council, ring YES and sign for it!

“I can’t praise YES enough: a great job from start to finish.
