Jackie - Solar PV

55-year-old Pharmaceutical Dispenser Jackie spoke to us about her experience of having solar panels installed to her home.

"Me and my husband have lived in our property for about three years.

"A neighbour of mine had solar panels put up, and I’d been thinking about it for a while, so I asked her about it just to see what the criteria was, and she just told me to apply as you never know. I didn’t think I could get it because I work, but I did."

She explained to us how having solar panels installed has affected her awareness around energy costs.

"I wasn’t really aware of my energy usage before having solar panels, but it seems to be quite low and I can use the energy stored by the panels. It’s given me a better sense of awareness around my energy as I can take readings every day."

Next, she took us through her customer experience journey, from first contact with us at YES to installation.

"I had a very positive experience with the customer call team, everything that I wanted to know, I’ve been given an answer.

The installer team was excellent. They were very clean, they told us everything they were going to do and why they were doing it, everything was excellent. They didn’t leave any mess at all – They didn’t cause any mess, really. I thought it would be quite intrusive and noisy but no, it was really good."
