Alan - Keep Herefordshire Warm

Alan lives alone in Herefordshire, and he first heard about YES Energy Solutions through Herefordshire Council and the Keep Herefordshire Warm scheme.

Here's what Alan had to say-

“This is going back a bit now, and I heard about YES through the council and their scheme that helps your home be warmer. It’s just me here, I live alone in my bungalow that I’m the owner of, and I wanted to see if there was any support I could get.

“I have 2 large sliding windows in my home and they’re always getting steamed up. There’s condensation, they’re all damp and horrid. They must have been in about 20 years before I even moved down here.”

After initially enquiring elsewhere for assistance with new windows, and not being able to receive any funding or help to replace the windows – Alan reached out to YES after receiving a marketing letter in the post from YES - for some advice on ways he could reduce his heating bills whilst he tried to get new windows.

“There were no problems with talking to the team at YES. It was a very nice young gentleman who I spoke with. Very professional and helpful.

“I also received the pack – which had lots of little bits in that help older folk like myself. It’s all these little things that do add up and do help.

“Thank you for the help. I’ve been using the information given to me with the leaflets I received and advice I got over the phone – I just need to get these windows now sorted.”

With the advice given, it’s estimated that by implementing the techniques from the call, Alan can save up to £650 a year towards the bills for heating his home.
