Gas Safety Advice

Your energy supplier can offer a free gas safety check every 12 months, which keeps boilers efficient, cost-effective and safe. You can request a check if you are on means-tested benefits and one of the following applies to you:

• You live with a child under five
• You live alone
• You have reached State Pension age
• You are disabled/chronically ill
• You live with someone who has reached State Pension age or is disabled/chronically ill

If you are a tenant, it is usually your landlord's responsibility to keep your gas appliances safe. We advise contacting them for specific details on this.
