A solar thermal system consists of a series of panels or tubes that use the sun’s rays to heat water. An efficient system can produce around a third of your annual hot water needs and can provide almost all of your hot water during the summer.

Most solar thermal systems can be integrated into existing heating circuits, helping to reduce the amount of non-renewable fuel that is used in your home.

Get paid for renewable heat generation

Homeowners that invest in solar thermal systems are now financially rewarded by the Government through the Domestic Renewable Heat Incentive (RHI). Once your system has been installed by an MCS accredited installer, you can join the scheme and receive quarterly payments for the next 7 years. The value of the payments is determined by how much hot water your system is deemed to generate.
