YES Energy Solutions is working with Herefordshire Council to help their residents keep warm with energy efficient improvements to households.

Herefordshire Council has funding available to support households throughout Herefordshire, with support provided by YES Energy Solutions.

Homes in Herefordshire can get a free home assessment from the Keep Herefordshire Warm project.

Homes will also receive a free home improvement plan.

And some homes will receive funding which is available for recommended works.

Scheme in detail

The scheme which is active across Herefordshire covers advice on the best energy saving measures for residents.

This consists of a free in-home assessment and a home improvement plan to help households in Herefordshire understand how their property is affecting their energy use.

Surveys and installations are completed by council partners Evolve Home Energy Solutions.

Our team is on hand to support you every step of the way to greener living and lower energy bills.

*Homes that are listed buildings, classed as historical or within conservation areas are not eligible in this scheme.

Our involvement

We are working with Herefordshire Council to encourage households to consider and implement energy efficiency measures in their homes.

The scheme is aimed at lowering energy bills and keeping your house warm with retrofit assessments and installations of energy efficient measures. This will mainly focus on insulation measures.

Each household will receive a free Improvement Plan setting out appropriate packages of measures suited to each household.

The council is covering the full cost of the surveys and plans, and can also provide funding to support the cost of the measures depending on customer income thresholds, which the team can advise on where applicable.

Retrofit assessments, coordination and installations will be carried out by Evolve Home Energy Solutions.

You can request a free home energy efficiency assessment if:

• You live in Herefordshire
• You are an owner occupier
• You live in a residential dwelling
• Your household income is £36,000 a year or more and/or
• Your household has disposable income available to spend on energy efficiency measures for your home

You will not be eligible if:

• You live in a listed property
• You live in a conservation area
• You live in a business building that has an element of residential accommodation, such as B&Bs, guesthouses, flats above shops, pubs with staff accommodation, hostels

This project is part-funded by the UK government through the UK Shared Prosperity Fund.

Keep Herefordshire Warm

This scheme is running in partnership with Keep Herefordshire Warm, the highly successful project currently helping and engaging customers with free energy advice.

The YES team is on hand to support you and we will do all the work to help you access the help available.

This may include grants for energy efficiency improvements to your home, benefit entitlement, or financial help towards your energy bills.

We can help you with over the phone support, our energy saving pack which contains gadgets to save energy as well as helpful guides, plus in-depth energy efficiency reports if you request additional support.
