Green Homes Grant

The Energy Advice Service can help you access the Government's Green Homes Grant by helping you through the application process and finding TrustMark accredited installers to complete the work.

Both homeowners and renters can apply for a voucher which covers up to two thirds of the cost of the works (up to £5,000). There is no eligibility criteria, so you can access a grant providing that your property is technically suitable.

Social housing tenants and private renters cannot apply for vouchers directly and will need to contact their Landlord.

In addition, homeowners receiving certain benefits can get installs fully funded, up to the value of £10,000.

Grants are allocated on first come first served basis and all installs must be completed by the end of March 2021.

YES Energy Solutions’ friendly advisors can offer you advice and support when applying for a Green Homes Grant. You are advised to get three quotes from Trustmark accredited contractors and YES Energy Solutions can help you find suitable installers in your area.

You can find more information and apply via the Government’s Simple Energy Advice website:

Our involvement

In July 2019 Redditch Borough Council and Bromsgrove District Council appointed YES Energy Solutions as the new delivery partner for their Energy Advice Service.

We are accessing the Government's Energy Company Obligation (ECO) scheme to provide additional funding to support installations.

Our network of accredited installers will complete installations for residents qualifying for funding from the service and, where council contributions are used, issue carbon monoxide alarms where appropriate and Energy Performance Certificates (EPCs) for upgraded properties.

Running over three years, we will help the councils continue to reduce their contribution to climate change by improving energy usage while helping vulnerable residents live in warmer and cosier homes.

Don’t have central heating?

Bromsgrove and Redditch residents that currently use storage heaters, room heaters or fires as their main heating source could qualify for a fully funded central heating upgrade.

To find out if you qualify, contact ‘Act On Energy’ who manage the Worcestershire Warm Homes Fund Scheme.

Do you have a wood burner?

Regulations on which fuel can be used for open fires are changing to reduce air pollution as well as the risk of carbon monoxide poisoning and house fires.
