Funding for Gas Connections in Scotland & the South East:

If your home is close to a gas supply and you live in Scotland or the South East of England, then you might be entitled to a free or discounted gas connection through the SGN Help to Heat Scheme.

We can claim funding to cover or contribute towards connection costs for residents that meet the Help to Heat criteria (see details below).

Did you know that compared to electric, coal or LPG, mains gas is still one of the most cost effective domestic fuels.

Connecting homes to main gas

The SGN Help to Heat scheme provides funding to help eligible householders in Scotland and the South East of England connect to the mains gas network.

For the majority of eligible residents that live near to a gas supply, a connection will be fully funded through the scheme.

YES Energy Solutions have been appointed by SGN to check to see which residents are eligible for support. We will discuss the funding available, review your circumstances and collect evidence that proves you qualify for a grant under the scheme.

Qualifying Criteria

Homeowners in Scotland or the South East of England that fit one or more of the following criteria will be able to access a free or discounted gas connection:

•    Live in one of the priority postcode areas within the SGN catchment.

     (YES Energy Solutions will check this for you following your enquiry)

Or

•    Have fuel bills that are above the national average which seriously reduces any remaining household income.

     (YES Energy Solutions will check to see if your energy bills and household income fit within the schemes criteria)

Or

•    Claim one or more of the following benefits:

•    Pension Guarantee Credit
  
•    Income Based Job Seekers Allowance
  
•    Income Support
  
•    Income Related Employment & Support Allowance
  
•    Working Tax Credit or Child Tax Credit with a yearly household income below:
  

1 adult no children £13,200
1 adult and 1 child £17,400
1 adult and 2 children £21,600
1 adult and 3 children £25,800
1 adult and 4 or more children £30,000
2 adults no children £19,800
2 adults and 1 child £24,000
2 adults and 2 children £28,200
2 adults and 3 children £32,400
2 adults and 4 or more children £36,600

You must have parental responsibility for any children living in the property. Children must be under 16 years of age, or between 16 and 20 years of age if in full time education (excluding higher education) and ordinarily reside at the property.

• Universal Credit with a monthly household income below:

1 adult and 1 child £1,450   
1 adult and 2 children £1,800   
1 adult and 3 children  £2,150   
1 adult and 4 or more children £2,500   
2 adults no children £1,650   
2 adults and 1 child £2,000   
2 adults and 2 children £2,350   
2 adults and 3 children £2,700   
2 adults and 4 or more children £3,050
