YES is proud to continue their energy support fund - offering up to £200 to households across Great Britain Aug 12, 2024

Following a successful trial in March 2024, YES Energy Solutions has extended the availability of crisis payments towards the energy costs of householders struggling with the cost-of-living crisis and facing debts in their energy costs. Recognising the lasting impact of the cost-of-living pressures facing families across Great Britain, the Yorkshire-based fuel poverty company is proud to be continuing to help residents across the country by extending their energy support fund. The fund helps households who are struggling with energy debt by offering payments up to £200 per household of financial aid towards energy debt, fuel vouchers, top up funding, or boiler replacements.

As a community interest company, any profits YES makes from its core services delivering energy efficiency installations for thousands of householders each year, are reinvested back into the community. The dedicated pot of funding has therefore come from their Profits for Purpose – in a year they have won 4 awards in the past 3 months – including wins for Community Award and Vulnerable Customer Support.

What support is there?

The support payments available to householders depend on how you pay for energy and therefore include payments direct to energy suppliers, fuel vouchers to help people using prepayment meters and contributions towards the costs of oil and bottled gas. In addition, where government-back schemes for free energy efficiency installations require a financial contribution from the customer that they cannot afford, or where we encounter householders who are living without heating and hot water as they cannot afford to have their boiler repaired, we may be able to help...

Our friendly Advice line team will be able to advise if you are eligible for the fund.

To check eligibility, simply send a text with the word ADVICE to 82228 or call 03301 359 110. This starts a friendly conversation with one of our advisors to help identify whether you can benefit from energy debt relief or home upgrades like wall or loft insulation.

Commercial director Alex Wilkes said: “At YES, we exist to help people who are struggling to afford their energy costs and to heat their homes to a comfortable level.

We’re therefore delighted to announce a continuation of our support fund for households that are struggling with energy debt. In March we created the Warmer Homes Fund and were able to pay up to £300,000 across all branches of support from support with energy debt to boiler replacements - which we know has greatly helped those who received it.

The initial fund at that time was limited to before the end of March 2024, so we have secured further money this year to continue with this vital support.”

At YES we are dedicated to help alleviating fuel poverty, and those who are having to decide between heating and eating. And even though we’re now in the summer months and hopefully customers are facing lower energy bills as they are using less heating, the help now can mean less pressure in the winter.

Alongside this crisis support, every customer is invited to receive energy saving advice which can help them to permanently reduce their energy costs, as well as check their eligibility for free insulation works at their property. I would encourage as many people as possible to get in touch, as your teams are ready and waiting to help. This is an entirely free service and could have a huge impact for people who are struggling with their energy costs.”

YES Energy Solutions, a community interest company with over 20 years of experience, works with funding partners and quality installers to help homeowners create warmer, more efficient, and affordable homes. In the last year alone, the organisation has helped more than 11,000 households receive energy saving advice and funding to improve their home’s efficiency and help towards lowering their energy bills.

Contact the YES team to see if you can get this assistance on 03301 359 110 or text ADVICE to 82228.
