YES Energy Solutions are proud to be sponsoring the 11th Annual CIEH Housing and Health Conference on May 15th in London.
A range of experts from different fields will be speaking at
the conference to provide an overview of the current state of housing and
health.
Our CEO Duncan McCombie and non-executive director Janet
Russell OBE will be making speeches on the latest phase of the ECO scheme and
other measures available to tackle fuel poverty.
The keynote presentation will be delivered by Emma Garratt,
Head of Enforcement for the Ministry of Housing, Communities and Local
Government.
The 2019 conference focuses on improving standards and
safety, and provides those working in the Private Rented Housing Sector with a
strategic overview of the key issues.
Discussion points include the Tenant Fees Act, Rating and
Council Tax Act 2018, a review of the latest Housing Health and Safety Rating
System guidance, an update on The Homes (Fitness for Human Habitation) Act 2018,
and a panel discussion on fuel poverty.
Workshops will also run to explore the mitigation of
overheating risks with housing design, ECO3 and other measures to tackle fuel
poverty, and the new standard for fire safety inspection regimes.
Duncan McCombie said: "We are looking forward taking part in this established event. We hope that by sharing our knowledge and experience of fuel poverty, it will promote the importance of the issue within the housing field."
The conference grows every year, regularly attracting more
than 150 attendees.
