The Committee on Climate Change publish 'Net Zero' report

THE Committee on Climate Change published a report that sets out how the UK has the capability to achieve net zero carbon emissions by 2050.

Independent adviser to the UK Government, the Committee on Climate Change's report explains how the UK has the ability to slash the amount of CO2 we put in the atmosphere.

Our CEO, Duncan McCombie, explained in an interview with Bradford Community Radio that: "It is absolutely important that we get behind this.

"It doesn't mean about stopping using energy, it means changing the way we use energy and being neutral in what we do, and it's exactly what we need to do for this wonderful planet of ours."

The report recommends immediate action in order to hit net zero CO2 emissions by 2050.

Duncan said: "There's a sense of urgency now, we are getting to the point of 400 parts per million which has never before been there or not for absolute millennium."There are some things we can do now to help contribute towards that reduction to climate change. The cheapest energy in the world is the energy we don't use, so lets think about how we use energy in our homes, and let's start doing things now."
