Over £500 raised in charity penguin run Aug 14, 2016

YES Energy Solutions has raised over £500 for the green charity - Renewable World, by running a 5K dressed as penguins.

Our penguin athletes completed the Big Fun Run Challenge in Sheffield on Sunday 14th August. We smashed our original fundraising target two weeks before the event giving our team the motivation they needed to cross the finish line.

Six staff members took part in the race dressed up as our company mascot – Percy the Penguin!

Collectively, the team finished the 5K in less than 35 minutes, coming ahead of hundreds of competitors including a team of pixies and an elf!

The YES penguin run has helped raise awareness of renewable energy and what benefits it can bring to remote communities in developing nations. As a leading international charity, Renewable World have helped thousands of poor and vulnerable people access clean, green sustainable power.

We’re delighted that we have managed to raise some money for this vital cause…and keep fit in the process!
