Ofgem Confirms Additional Insulation Guarantees for ECO Jul 07, 2014

The industry regulator Ofgem has published a revised list of wall insulation guarantees that meet the specifications of the Energy Company Obligation (ECO) programme - Version 1.19 was published on the 26th June.

Whilst no guarantees have been removed, a number of new guarantees have been added, including the first two for Park Homes.

Under ECO funding requirements all installers carrying out wall insulation measures must provide an appropriate guarantee against each of their installations. This relates to the installation of external wall insulation, cavity wall insulation and hard to treat cavity wall insulation.

The guidance will continue to be updated as and when new insulation guarantees are approved by Ofgem.

Currently, the ‘appropriate guarantees’ listed are as follows:

Standard Cavity Wall Insulation

• BUFCA ECO BASF Walltite CV 100 Guarantee
• BUFCA ECO Technitherm Guarantee
• CIGA 25 Year Guarantee
• Enterprise ECO Guarantee (CPI)
• Enterprise ECO Guarantee (HIES)
• Enterprise ECO Guarantee (The Green Deal and Eco Guarantee Company)
• IWA ECO Guarantee
• Jelf Insurance partnership ECO Guarantee
• Kinnell ECO Guarantee
• REIGA Guarantee

Hard to Treat Cavity Wall Insulation

• BUFCA ECO BASF Walltite CV 100 Guarantee
• BUFCA ECO Technitherm Guarantee
• CIGA HTT Guarantee
• IWA ECO Guarantee
• Jelf Insurance partnership ECO Guarantee
• REIGA Guarantee

Solid Wall Insulation

• Enterprise ECO Guarantee (CPI)

Kinnell Green Deal Guarantee – this only covers projects with combined ECO and Green Deal funding, and is valid for cavity wall insulations, Park Homes External Wall Insulation, and Solid Wall Insulation.
