No assistance until autumn for rising energy bills Mar 30, 2022

The next wave of financial support for those struggling to deal with the rising energy bills won’t arrive until autumn.

Currently millions of people across the UK have been effected by the hike in prices including half a million children who are now fuel poor.

The situation regarding energy prices is very volatile and in response to the mounting criticism over his previous statement Rishi Sunak said:

“Clearly, it’s very difficult to sit here today and speculate on what happens to energy prices, with the biggest impact on living standards coming in the autumn.

“Let’s wait until we get there and then we can decide on the most appropriate course of action, but I don’t think anyone today knows what that appropriate course of action ought to be.”
