Month of positivity for YES Energy Solutions after lockdown Aug 27, 2020

YES Energy Solutions emerged positively from the coronavirus lockdown to pursue our mission to alleviate fuel poverty and reduce CO₂ emissions.

With many of our staff returning from a period of furlough, we re-launched our schemes with local authority partners, and have agreed exciting new projects for the road ahead.

The St Alban’s Warmer Homes Scheme is set to launch in the next few weeks, with YES providing our ECO funding facilities and contractor network to help residents in the area receive help towards energy saving home improvements.

Many more Hertfordshire councils have also signed up with us for similar ECO schemes meaning household energy efficiency in the area is set to rise.

We are also moving forward with our Warm Homes Fund schemes in Hertfordshire, Reading and North Yorkshire, managing the funding and installs of first-time central heating systems for fuel poor residents.

Additional funding for first-time central heating is under our management in the South of England as a result of our partnership with SGN.

The new Green Homes Grant also piqued our interest, and we have been forthcoming in seeking out the new opportunity presented by this new government scheme.

Our ECO delivery is ahead of targets, with contracts being fulfilled and partnerships with installers reigniting after lockdown.

The team is supporting installers with delivery, with all usual lines of communication open.

To ensure activity could ramp up swiftly, drastic alterations to the office were made to create a Covid-secure workplace.

With Perspex screens between desks, a one-way system and new hand washing stations amongst a range of improvements, staff have returned to the office with confidence.

The challenges for the industry over the last few months cannot be overstated, with many organisations being rocked and in a state of confusion, however YES Energy Solutions’ robust processes and forward planning has enabled the company to emerge from lockdown in a position of strength.

We have overcome one the most threatening challenges in our history, but our capacity as a funding provider, project manager and industry leader has weathered the storm.
