APSE energy have worked with YES Energy Solutions to publish an in-depth guide to the Energy Company Obligation.
The publication helps local authorities gain a full
understanding of the latest phase of the Government’s ECO scheme and how they
can use ECO to help the most vulnerable fuel poor residents in their districts.
APSE, a not-for-profit organisation dedicated to promoting
excellence in the delivery of front line services to local communities, worked
with award winning energy efficiency experts YES Energy Solutions to write the
guide.
The publication aims to inspire councils to consider ECO as
part of their fuel poverty strategy by covering all the new rules in a clear
format which dispels the myths and negative PR around the scheme.
In April 2013, the Government launched the national scheme
designed to reduce fuel poverty and improve the energy efficiency on domestic
properties in England, Scotland and Wales.
The scheme has evolved since its launch, with this latest phase
introduced in October 2018 and is the main funding stream for insulation and
heating measures in domestic properties in Great Britain.
