Thousands of people across the UK could save hundreds of pounds on their energy bills by switching their supplier.

But how do you know if you’ve got the right deal for your home and lifestyle?

The energy industry regulator, Ofgem have launched a new campaign to help simplify shopping around for the best energy tariffs. Ofgem state that the energy market is now simpler, clearer and fairer since recent reforms were made – making it easier to check your existing energy deal and work out if you could benefit from a change.

To help householders find out if they should make the switch, Ofgem have released a ‘Go Energy Shopping Guide.’

The guide explains the recent changes and regulations that energy companies must abide by. It also provides information on how to look for the best energy deals.

According to Ofgem, many householders could save around £200 by switching energy supplier  - could you?
