Tomorrow the Energy Price Cap comes into effect – with the average bill expected to rise by 10% - this will cause a further strain if you are struggling with your high energy bills.
And with the colder months ahead of us all, you are not alone in your worries.
YES can support you with advice on ways to lower your bills, advice on income maximisation, advice on funding for home improvements – all from our friendly team.
“The average customer saves around £500 on their annual energy bill. As a community interest company, we’re so proud that we are able to offer this across the nation.
“With the cut in financial government support, and the pending cold weather, we’re talking to hundreds of people across the country who are apprehensive about turning on their heating because of the costs.
“Worst case scenario, you receive some free goodies and expert advice. Best case scenario, you can save quite a bit on your energy bills and get free energy efficiency measures worth thousands.” – Laura Winning, Advice centre manager
Last year the Advice Line helped over 11,000 customers across England, Scotland and Wales, and are expected to surpass that number again this year. The Advice Line team has grown to help with the increasing number of inbound calls from struggling residents.
In addition to free advice, the YES Energy Support Fund was created to help alleviate immediate fuel debt. Created from our dedicated Profits for Purpose, we can help with fuel vouchers, direct payments to suppliers and with alternative fuel payments – and it’s available to anyone struggling with their fuel debt, whether you are in receipt of benefits or not, if you are struggling, we’re here to help.
