ECO3 Consultation response May 02, 2018

As a company with a strong social purpose who are committed to reducing CO2 emissions and alleviating fuel poverty, ECO funding is at the heart of aiding what we try to achieve.

In April 2018, the Government announced new plans for changes to ECO funding which will come in to effect in October. This will be the next phase of ECO funding - ECO3, and we felt compelled to respond to the proposal.

Points including the removal of the carbon emissions reduction target and changes to benefit eligibility were analysed, as we have raised our concerns and highlighted where we feel the new proposals will be very beneficial.

The current plan is provisional, so we felt it was important to feedback to the government where it will set out to do what it achieves, and where proposed changes may not help to aid those living in fuel poverty.
