173 miles for charity Sep 13, 2018

As a Community Interest Company (CIC) dedicated to making a positive difference, YES Energy Solutions are able to invest our profits back in to the community, with no shareholders to satisfy.

In conjunction with our fundraising open day which took place last month, YES Energy Solutions sponsored Lee Fox from The HomeInsulation group on his 3 day bike ride venture, covering 173 miles from Whitley Bay to Whitehaven.

The gruelling bike ride was organised through The Jack K Johnstone Foundation, set up in memory of Jack who passed away on 14th December2016 at the tender age of 10 after a long battle with Cystic Fibrosis.

After explaining the great work that Tommy’s baby charity do and why we chose them to be at the focus of our open day fundraiser, Lee decided to donate his sponsorship money towards our campaign which has now reached £5,000 for the cause.

After taking a day off to recuperate, Lee told us:

“I was asked at the last minute to take part in a bike ride for charity. After learning about YES Energy Solutions’ open day, I knew Tommy’s was the right charity to support.

“The ride took me across riding roads, cycle paths, farm tracks and forest tracks in all weathers, with absolutely no previous training.It was tough but I’m so glad I completed the challenge, and thank you so much to YES Energy Solutions for your support and sponsorship.”
