Recent residents we’ve helped with their energy uses through HUG schemes Apr 17, 2024

At YES we have several projects across various parts of the UK to help residents reduce their energy worries.

As we head into Spring and warmer months, we want to still encourage residents to think ahead of the colder months. It's never the wrong time to get help and advice to make your home more energy efficient, and warm for Winter.

And in the current cost of living and energy crisis, we can also help alleviate energy bill worries with the home improvements.

Last year we helped 9,600 residents.

Here are some of the residents we’ve helped recently.

Geoffrey– North Allerton.
Funded loft insulation and Solar PV through North Yorkshire’s Home Improvement Grant (HUG2)

Geoffrey is 90 years old, and is receiving treatment for cancer. During our visit, he told us all about how much it meant to him to receive fully funded home upgrades:

“As you get older you really start to feel the cold, so when I first read about your scheme in the local newspaper, I really jumped at the opportunity to keep my home warm.

“I was thrilled to hear my application was successful and I qualified.

“The loft insulation really appealed to me, since installation I have noticed a big difference with the heat retention.

After telling us about the impact of the home upgrades, Geoffrey went on to talk about the team at YES who helped him through the whole process:

“The team I talked to over the phone was absolutely brilliant, truly wonderful.

“They regularly checked in with me and they were always polite.

I would recommend YES Energy Solutions without question.

Julie – Scunthorpe
Funded Solar panels through North Lincolnshire Home Improvement Grant (HUG2)

Julie is retired and currently lives alone in her home in Scunthorpe which she bought 16 years ago.

After having Solar PV fitted through the North Lincolnshire HUG2 scheme, we caught up with her to better understand her experience with YES:

“It has been 16 years since I first bought my home and two years since I started investigating Solar.

“I first heard about YES and what they were offering through my neighbours, three of them had already had installations done and their solar looked amazing.

The installers were fabulous, the team over the phone were very respectful too, they were amazing and I couldn’t be happier.

I would recommend you to all my friends and family, in fact, it was three of my friends that had the work done first, it was through them that I heard of you.
