£400 energy bill discount for householders

Chancellor Rishi Sunak recently announced new measures, including a £400 energy bill discount for householders.

This £400 discount will be provided to all householders and the one of payment will rise to £650 for 8 million of the lowest income families.

This new measure will most likely replace the previously announced £200 loan which had to be paid back over five years.

Furthermore disabled citizens will receive £150 to help with the cost-of-living crisis, with pensioners receiving £300.

This is all part of a temporary windfall tax on gas and oil companies implemented by the chancellor due to mounting criticism.
