Why our mission is important

Cutting CO2

CO2 is one of the biggest causes of Climate Change. Unfortunately most of the things we do and use every day create CO2 emissions.

The more CO2 that is in the atmosphere, the more heat from the sun is reflected onto the earth. The trouble is that this heat isn’t reflected back out into space, therefore the earth’s surface temperature starts to rise. With this comes a whole host of problems.

The hotter the earth gets the more it affects plants and animals. Habitats are destroyed, the seasons are affected and we start to experience strange and damaging weather patterns. Not to mention the impact Climate Change has on the Arctic. As the ice caps start to melt our sea levels rise which may cause flooding inland.

The depressing truth is that the hotter the earth gets the more our existence on the planet is threatened.

There are many actions we can take to reduce CO2, especially in the home. But without the right kind of advice and support, it can be a bit of a minefield.

Fighting Fuel Poverty

There are over 2.28m homes in the UK that are classed as being in fuel poverty. Many of these vulnerable people struggle to keep warmth in their homes because they simply can’t afford to pay their energy bills.

Thousands of householders throughout the country are having to make the impossible decision of whether to put food on the table or heat their homes.

This is not sustainable for any human being living in a cold climate. People are suffering as their health is deteriorating. These people are typically on lower incomes and live in cold draughty homes with inefficient heating systems.

At YES Energy Solutions, we feel that it is our duty to support these residents and help them improve their quality of life. There are solutions, be it behavioural advice, energy saving installations or government grants.
