Most schemes are aimed at households on lower incomes, in colder homes or where heating costs are difficult to manage. A quick check tells you whether it’s worth applying.
You may qualify if you:
- Live in Central and Southern Lincolnshire
- Own your home or rent privately (some support may be available for social housing, depending on the property and funding rules)
- Receive certain benefits or meet an income threshold
- Have a low EPC rating, often D, E, F or G

What support could be available
If you’re eligible for the Central and Southern Lincolnshire warm homes local grant, improvements are selected following a home assessment and must meet government funding rules. Measures are designed to improve your home’s energy performance, reduce heat loss and lower running costs.
- Loft insulation: Installing new insulation or topping up existing loft insulation to reduce heat escaping through the roof.
- Cavity wall insulation: Filling cavity walls to reduce heat loss in suitable properties.
- Internal or external wall insulation: For solid wall homes that cannot have cavity insulation.
- Low carbon heating systems: Such as air source heat pumps, where the property is suitable.
- Heating system upgrades: Replacements with electric heating when current systems are inefficient or unsuitable.
- Solar panels (solar PV): To generate low cost electricity and improve overall energy performance.
What you’re offered depends on eligibility, your home and what funding allows. We’ll explain options clearly before anything happens.
