Suzy Roberts - Gas Central Heating

Suzy Roberts from Hampshire not only received a fully funded gas connection, but also claimed a central heating grant through YES Energy Solutions.

"YES Energy Solutions were brilliant throughout," explained Suzy. "The guys that fitted the central heating system were incredibly professional and hardworking. They went out of their way to be accommodating and we would certainly recommend them."

Suzy lives with her husband and ten month old baby in Farnborough. Having previously experienced a terrible winter with no central heating, she knew that something needed to change.

"Last year we were so worried about keeping my daughter warm, that on many occasions we would change her nappy in front of an electric fire. It was costing us a fortune to heat the house. I was shelling out over £150 a month. Luckily I was put forward to YES Energy Solutions who were able to access funding for a free gas connection!"

Having previously relied on inefficient storage heaters, Suzy knew that changing to gas would really help improve the energy efficiency of her home.

"I contacted Southern Gas Networks who told me that YES Energy Solutions were helping them manage an assisted gas connections service and that we might be eligible for some of the funding. I was delighted when they told me that we could get a free gas connection and a brand new central heating system!"

YES Energy Solutions have been working with Southern Gas Networks since 2012 to help local residents connect to mains gas and start saving money with a more economic household fuel. Suzy joins hundreds of customers who have benefited from assisted connections and grant aid support.

"I was completely gobsmacked when I heard I would be getting a brand new central heating system! We knew we could not put up with those storage heaters any longer and the only other way unfortunately would have been to borrow the money off our family and pay it back over a long time. This has certainly helped us and we are more than grateful."
