Suzanne Garraghan - Gas Boiler Replacement

Retired Suzanne and her husband recently had a brand-new Logic Combi boiler installed into her property in Huddersfield for free.

She received the boiler due to her work for Santa’s Seniors, a local charity backed by Age UK, aimed at providing elderly residents with donated gifts, wrapped by their team of helpers.

Before installation, Suzanne had an old inefficient 12-year-old boiler that was running poorly and making “very bizarre noises.”

We caught up with Suzanne recently to ask about her experience with YES and the installation:

“I first heard about your giveaway through Diane, your finance director, and my friend in Santa's Seniors, she nominated me for the boiler.

“I was proper made up to find out that I won, it feels like great karma.

“Everyone I’ve talked to has been very pleasant, even the West Yorkshire Gas Solutions team who handled the installation and auditing have been very nice guys.

“The boiler itself runs very efficiently and was installed before Christmas which was great as I was cooking for my whole family.

“It even came with a digital boiler control panel that was set up by the installer.

“I would highly recommend YES and to my friends and family, the whole experience has been lovely, I couldn’t be happier and have no complaints at all.”

The free boiler was provided as part of our ongoing community support schemes, where we provide local community members with free home upgrades and energy advice.

In 2022 we helped install energy efficient A-rated central heating in 10 Calderdale properties.
