YES FileCloud Change Notice - File & Folder Retention Periods
We are updating our FileCloud data sharing platform to automatically delete files that have been on the system for longer than three months.
The change will come into effect from Saturday April 27th, with the deletion of files and folders older than three months becoming fully automated.
Previously, there has been no automated clean-up of files and folders on the YES FileCloud service, which has resulted in a large amount of legacy data being amassed in the system.
It is unsustainable to continue to store files within the FileCloud service with no retention period, therefore automated deletion of files and folders is a necessary change.
File deletion can, and should, be carried out at the point that the data sharing has been completed, however we understand that this may sometimes be impractical due to the way information is managed within your specific workflow.
Partners should ensure that they retain local copies of any data that they have uploaded to the YES FileCloud to safeguard their own internal information governance without reliance on our platform.
When using the FileCloud you should be aware that the service is not intended to be used as a file storage platform. It is only a file sharing platform that ensures information can be shared securely between YES Energy Solutions and our partners.
If you have any questions or concerns about this change please contact your YES Energy Solutions Account Manager.
