What is the Home Upgrade Grant?

Local authorities will be able to access the Home Upgrade Grant to support low income households by upgrading the energy efficiency of properties off the gas network in England.

The £150m of funding intends to enable the installation of multiple measures improve the energy efficiency of these properties.

The Home Upgrade Grant will open for applications from local authorities in summer 2021, with the funding to be made available in conjunction with a phase three of Green Homes Grant Local Authority Delivery.

Local authorities looking to take advantage of the funding will be required to complete a single application to submit proposals for both or either scheme.
