Local Authority Delivery opportunities via Regional Energy Hubs

Local Authority Delivery opportunities via Regional Energy Hubs

With the increase in funding for energy efficiency measures going through local authorities, opportunities exist for installers interested in working on public sector frameworks in England.

The Green Homes Grant Local Authority Delivery (LAD) funding is being distributed through regional energy hubs, with installers having the opportunity to apply for procurement in some regions.

England has been broken into the following regions:

The second phase of LAD projects are launching shortly, with a third phase expected later in the year

Installers can get involved in schemes by fulfilling procurement exercises in partnership with local authorities and managing agents.

The measures are the same as those eligible under the Green Homes Grant voucher scheme and neither fossil fuel heating (or repairs) nor biomass heating are eligible measures.

Installers must be covered by PAS2030:2017 for measures they wish to fit, however, the use of PAS2035:2019 will become mandatory from June 2021.

YES Energy Solutions are part of the Midlands Local Energy Hub framework, and will be working with local councils and installers to install energy efficiency measures in the region.
