, a new industry approved insulation product, thousands of random stone properties in Halifax could now get cavity wall insulation installed, funded through the Government's ECO scheme.
For a limited period, local residents could access ECO grants to cover up to 100% of the installation costs!

The Government's ECO (Energy Company Obligation) scheme was launch in 2013 to offer funding for properties that are typically hard to insulate or hard to heat. As an approved installer, YES Energy Solutions can now claim funding to cover or contribute towards the cost of installing cavity wall insulation in stone properties. In some cases, 100% grants are available!
What’s more, there is no personal qualifying criteria, so as long as your home is technically suitable for the work you could benefit from the ECO funding scheme.
What Is Technitherm?
Until recently, there has never been an approved solution for insulating Yorkshire stone properties.
However, leading manufacture Isothane, has now developed Technitherm, a new foam based insulation product backed by a 25 year manufacturer’s guarantee!
Technitherm consists of two components which when combined produce an adaptable but durable foam material which is then pumped into a cavity. It easily slips into nooks and crannies and can strengthen corroded wall ties.

Why is Technitherm different to standard cavity wall insulation?
Traditional cavity wall insulation uses mineral wool which can only be installed in even cavities. The majority of stone properties have jagged, uneven cavities, which would only cause blockages if mineral wool was implemented. This could then lead to damp problems and cold bridging.
With Technitherm, the foam flows throughout the bumpy stone cavity before it sets into a durable thermal layer. Not only does it retain heat but also strengthens a property’s structure.
