We’ve got into the Halloween spirit this year by running a ‘spooky office’ day to raise money for an amazing local charity.

Staff at YES Energy Solutions have come to work clad in spider webs, witches hats and werewolf masks to partake in a fearsome fancy dress fundraiser.
The team are competing in a variety of spooky challenges throughout the day to raise as much cash as possible for the Forget Me Not Children’s Hospice - a local charity that care for children with life shortening conditions.
Prizes will be awarded to the best and scariest costumes. And those that refused to participate will be forced to face the consequences (which will involve donating more cash and doing the tea round!)
Zoe Doyle, who works in our funding team, coordinated the fundraiser. She is delighted with the team’s efforts so far. She said:
“When I came up with the idea to run a fancy dress day at work I didn’t think anyone would take part. But everyone just went for it – its brilliant. I love Halloween, It’s such a fun time of year.”
It’s not the first time YES Energy Solutions have dressed to impress for charity. Last year several members of staff took part in the Sheffield Big Fun Run Challenge where they ran a 5K dressed in penguin outfits to represent the company’s mascot – Percy the penguin.
Marketing Coordinator, Alex Krzesinski explained:
‘YES Energy Solutions is an ethical organisation. We are always keen to partake in charitable activities – especially when it benefits vulnerable people. Today we are raising money for the Forget Me Not Children’s Hospice who are based up the road in Huddersfield. They do an amazing job supporting and caring for children with terminal illnesses and their families.’
