Wakefield Affordable Warmth Charter
YES Energy Solutions is delighted to be awarded the Wakefield Affordable Warmth Charter Mark.
We have pledged our support and commitment to reducing fuel poverty in the Wakefield district and will now work alongside proactive organisations to improve domestic energy efficiency in the area.
At the start of the year we signed Wakefield Council’s Affordable Warmth Charter and set out how we would support the Local Authority in helping vulnerable householders save energy and reduce their fuel bills.
The charter commits organisations to five principles:
- Improving energy efficiency in homes
- Raising awareness and educating residents
- Championing affordable energy
- Working in partnerships to reduce fuel poverty
- Influencing the affordable warmth agenda
Several organisations have signed the charter and pledged their support, including major Energy Companies, West Yorkshire Fire Service and Wakefield District Housing.
As an organisation committed to tackling fuel poverty, YES Energy Solutions is excited to be part of the Wakefield Affordable Warmth Partnership and looks forward to helping Wakefield householders access the latest energy efficiency schemes and funding opportunities.
YES Energy Solutions is currently working with Wakefield Council on a targeted heating and insulation scheme helping eligible resident’s access funding to improve the energy efficiency of their homes.
We look forward to developing this scheme and other approaches with Wakefield Council and the organisations involved in the Wakefield Affordable Warmth Partnership.
Together we can help make fuel poverty a thing of the past.
